We created the Kootenay Pride Guide to uplift and connect queer and trans communities across the region. By spotlighting inclusive spaces and resources, we aim to: · Support local 2SLGBTQIA+ businesses, artists, and organizations · Promote events and initiatives that celebrate pride year around · Provide an accessible, central hub for information and connection · Foster a sense of belonging and visibility for all queer and trans folks in the Kootenays Who We Are The Pride Guide is a community driven project led by Fernie Pride, in collaboration with local partners and volunteers. We believe that pride isn’t just a festival or a single month, it’s a movement, a commitment, and a way of building stronger, safer communities every day. Why It Matters Representation matters. Visibility matters. Access matters. The Kootenay Pride Guide is here to ensure that no matter where you are in the Kootenays, you can find support, celebration, and connection.
